University of Mumbai is formerly known as University of Bombay. This is a public state university in Mumbai. University of Bombay was established in 1857 after the presentation of a petition from the Bombay Association to the British colonial government in India.

The University of Mumbai was modelled on similar universities in the United Kingdom, specifically the University of London. The first departments established were the Faculty of Arts at Elphinstone College in 1835 and the Faculty of Medicine at Grant Medical College in 1845.

Now a days It is one of the largest university systems in the world with over 549,000 students on its campuses and affiliated colleges. Its jurisdiction extends over 7 districts - Mumbai City district, Mumbai Suburban district, Palghar district, Raigad district, Ratnagiri district, Sindhudurg district, Thane district.

I am very disappointed with the exam and result management at Mumbai University. The exams are often conducted very late, which causes a significant delay in the results as well. Additionally, the checking process seems inconsistent, with many students failing in subjects without any proper justification. This forces students to apply for rechecking, for which the university charges extra fees. There is also a significant delay in receiving rechecking results, and in the meantime, students are required to pay for ATKT forms, further adding to the financial burden.
It feels like the system is designed to generate income rather than support students. This is causing unnecessary stress for students and raises concerns about the transparency and fairness of the process. I hope the university addresses these issues and prioritizes the students' well-being

The education is extremely good, but there is a problem in the system of Kalina university. I also have an issue regarding my results The staff and members have co operated with me but they didn't give me any solution to my problem ?.. honestly i have good and bad experience at a same time .. if someone is seeing this then plzzz solve my problem it's about my career " beti bachao beti padhao" lekin ye padhna chahti hai to system ke itne ajeeb se problem aa jate hai ki hum jesi ka career idr udr ho gya hai...

One of the best university in Maharashtra, India. Established in 1857. Located in Fort, Mumbai. This University offers many no. Higher education degrees includes law, engineering, management, pharmacy, and many more. Easy to reach here by Bus, train and other public transport. It has very big play and sports ground beside it called oval maidan. Bombay High Court is just near to it. Kala Ghoda is also near to this University. It another University campus it at Vidyanagari, Kalina, Mumbai. Kalina campus is larger than this University campus. It provide Ph.D degree courses. This affiliates to colleges in mumbai, Maharashtra to run properly.

This University of Mumbai is based out at Kalina next to International airport of Mumbai. This campus is an extension of fort and than campus of Mumbai University. This University is spacious and have wide range of schools within it. This campus is a government campus. It is looked by Maharashtra governor as a vice-chancellor. This is a state University still features on QS world ranking and BRICs University ranking with good rank within 1000 rank which makes this University one of good University to study with. Faculties, discipline and wide range of courses make this University one of highly populated universities of India and one of the world's highest population based University.

Temple of education. Best University in our country. Neat and clean campus. Well maintained the heritage property kept in good condition. Located near kala ghoda. Canteen is also available in the campus. One of the main education hub in the Mumbai City. Parking is not available I am not sure. As this area is highly crowded and parking issue is always there in this are. Four star from my side.
