I have had two heart surgeries completed by Dr. Rahul Jain. Dr. Jain works in the Heart and Vascular Clinic. To start, the staff in reception in that clinic are amazing. Not only have they provided me with a superior customer service, I witnessed the same for other patients. They are caring, friendly, willing to go above and beyond if possible, and professional. Dr. Jain is an exceptional doctor that is obviously extremely knowledgeable of his profession, friendly, and communicates at a level that anyone in his care can understand. He is willing to take the time to ensure that you understand what is going on with your situation. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Jain if you need any cardiovascular services.

The wound doctors saved my life. I was almost septic and they dud their very best to remove all of the infection in my leg. They kept me up to date on absolutely everything. From the time that I was in the ICU down to the PCU. The nurses were amazing and treated me with kindness and respect. No one enjoys a hospital stay. But these doctors and nurses helped me tremendously. And thanks to them, I have my life and my leg. Thank you
Sincerely,
Connie Regagnon

I came in with very suspicious appendicitis symptoms. What should’ve taken at most an hour to diagnose ended up with me in the ER for 5 hours. Did not get any updates on my bloodwork (I was stuck by nursing students who obviously did not know how to do this properly because it took three people and three different tries), my ultrasound, or my CT scan until the very end of my visit. I missed an entire day of school for what could’ve been diagnosed in an hour. It ended up not being appendicitis (thank god), but they honestly could’ve determined this much quicker. The only reason they are getting 2 stars is because everyone after the nursing students were pretty nice.

Mu Health Care. This is for my wife, Virginia Mangan. I first want to say my doctor and staff were excellent. I was having a heart oblation.
I just finished survey but would like to comment further. The nurses, etc in preop were wonderful. In the operating room they were awesome. I woke up not realizing I was done. I have to say something about recovery room. It was horrible. I woke up and didn't see anything but sterile room. I thought I had died and was in room waiting for funeral home or in the area they decide where I would go but then a man and woman came in to check my incision I think it was seeping so they pull bandage off. That wasn't bad but then they came back several times. I appreciate that but then I think they wanted to get rid of me. They started just yanking the bandage off and pulling my public hair out. As time goes in it got worse to the point I was crying. They decided to keep me overnight. Well once I got to my room I had a nurse from a bad place. She was upset I was up there even though I had no choice. S
When she
Was doing my vitals, etc she was mumbling. The hospitalist came in he was so nice. I was talking to him and said something that set her off. She started unloading on me and I told her I wasn't talking to her. It was horrible. The next morning I had an excellent staff.

I have never had anything but excellent care while in this hospital and I'm not one to complain so you know it had to be bad. Thank you

Seems this place was once a good facility but now all the staff cares about is proving they are right and know more than the patients do. My son was admitted 4 separate times with severe respiratory distress and they kept telling me he just gets viruses easily(I KNEW that wasn't the case, and repeatedly told them to check further, run more tests ect) and so soon I started speaking up and saying that's not the case for how fast he'd become sick(sometimes just a few hours went from totally healthy to 75-80% oxygen) they then stated he might have retractive airway disease but another doctor didn't agree so they never diagnosed him with that. On top of that they intubated him twice because he was "struggling " to breathe. Just my opinion but running continuous albuterol while keeping a child sedated might be part of that reason. His heart rate stayed consistently at 200+ but they weren't concerned about that and kept brushing me off when I begged them to turn the albuterol off! We transferred to Children's mercy in KC after his second intubation and the doctors out there were astonished at why he was intubated and why he was being given the medication they were giving. In KC they diagnosed him with chronic aspirations and we followed their plan and did follow ups with them and everything was going great on that plan. Forward to this past weekend we went on a small out of state trip to see family and someone offered my son regular liquids (not thickened like it has to be) and he became sick so since Columbia is closer we just went there. I tried explaining and arguing that he doesn't have pneumonia or anything else they kept bringing up ,and that he was diagnosed with ASPIRATIONS, but they still bullheadly went ahead with their "he has asthma and we know more than you and all that" a resident even tried to tell me she would know more about lung specialities than an actual pulmonolgist..kinda frustrating when they simply won't check out other doctors notes that they were told to check. I have learned my lesson and will make a 2½ drive to another children's hospital before taking my son back to MU.

Also beware none of their doctors will ever agree with each other. Every single one will say something different every single time they talk to you..

A lot of people will only leave reviews if they have a bad experience in a hospital. I want to say that mine has been nothing short of what hospital standards should be set as. The speed they rotate patients is exemplary, I haven't in my entire life in any sort of medical facility been seen as fast as they do. This isn't based on just one visit either, every one that I've had here is under a half hour total. Everyone is helpful and kind and tries to communicate to the best of their ability. Through all my skepticism they procured the exact answer and provided evidence and information that supported all of what they were describing was happening. The nurse practitioner took the time to fully diagram exactly where things were going wrong in my arm and gave me all the intricacies that gave me the details to understand. Overall I have to say it's probably one of my best visits to a hospital if you even have that as a class.

I have nothing but good things to say about everyone I've dealt with here. From arrival to departure. The pre op and post op nurses are great! Treat you like part of the family! The doctors and attending physicians as well! Make what I'm getting done there way better by how I'm treated. Very nice, respectful, and make you definitely feel like they care about you. Thank you, I appreciate all you do. Mark.

My mother was brought in and admitted last fall. I visited everyday, I came in one morning and my mother was no where in here room. I went to the front desk, they said she had been moved to ICU and had to be resuscitated. I left my name and number on the board in my moms room and she gave them my name and my dads number for contact. I NEVER recieved a call stating that she had to be resuscitated nor did my dad. We were told she had heart trouble? and when she was finally released months later, I took her to see her cardiologist. They didn't know why she needed to be seen becasue her records didn't show she had been resuscitated or that she had heart trouble. The room was not cleaned, just the trash taken. I will say, we had an incident where a night staff was rough with her, it was reported and they addressed it right away.
