This museum sits off the beaten track in Marble Falls, but it is worth a visit! We stopped in and found numerous exhibits of interest on the history and geology of Marble Falls... Including where the unusual name comes from. The docent was very knowledgeable about the particulars of the museum and the area's history, and the museum is located inside a charming old schoolhouse. Overall, I recommend it for anyone with an interest in Texas history or Central Texas history in particular.

We went in looking for a little family history help. I have to say the ladies here are amazing. We first watched them as they artfully lead a group of school children around the exhibits. Each woman knew their roles perfectly. We didn’t see one child act up as they listened to stories and participated in the lessons. Nice work ladies. Next they all spoke to my husband and I about the history of the area and answered questions we had. They also showed us reading materials and told us where we might look to further our journey. The displays are well put together and give a great history of the area, including Rocky. A must see. Really made our day.

Very rich with history from the cowboy and pioneer days and my favorite part of the exhibit are the pictures of the historical waterfalls which is down at the bottom of Lake Marble Falls.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem while visiting Texas from Michigan! Susan greeted us at the door with a welcoming hello!! She provided us with a wonderful, informative tour about beautiful Marble falls. The exhibits were well put together and really drew you in with what life looked like before electricity. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who loves history!!
