Absolutely beautiful. It is a tribute to many who devoted their lives to flight. If you go, be aware it sits on the grounds of a cemetery and there may be services occurring while you are there.

Today was the 50th anniversary of a plane crash into the Portal of the Folded Wings that occurred on July 18, 1969. In aviation's most ironic accident, the plane crashed into a monument erected in honor of dead pilots, and disintegrated into 1,000 pieces while the wings fell 70 feet to the ground and landed in a folded position at the foot of the Portal of the Folded Wings. The lone survivor, Dale Black, hovered over his body between life and death, and was eventually escorted to heaven by two angelic beings. Read all about it the best-selling books "Flight to Heaven" and "Visiting Heaven." I have personally bought and given away hundreds of these books. These will be your new favorite books!

As someone who's wandered around a LOT of cemeteries, this was a pretty cool one. Pretty landscaping and peaceful atmosphere, aside from the large coyote that was hanging around watching me for a while.

This is the historic, peaceful resting place of Amelia Earhart and other great aviators. Good for a walk or to pay your respects.

Was here without a docent so I don't know what the 'exhibits' look like. The pavilion is very pretty and calming. The park/cemetery is nice for a calm relaxing walk as well. Plus this location is right under the Burbank departure corridor so you may get some planes flying over while looking at aviation memorabilia!
