Mrugavani National Park, located near Chilkur in Hyderabad, is a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts seeking a tranquil escape from the city. Spanning about 3.6 square kilometers, it’s an ideal spot to explore Telangana’s native flora and fauna. Here are my thoughts after visiting:

Pros:
1. Serene Atmosphere: The park offers a refreshing break with its lush greenery, making it a perfect spot for a day out. It’s less crowded compared to other parks in Hyderabad, which adds to its peaceful charm.
2. Wildlife Sightings: While exploring, you might encounter deer, peacocks, and a variety of birds. For bird watchers, it's a treat with several species like kingfishers and eagles being commonly spotted.
3. Guided Safari: The park offers a short safari ride that takes you deeper into the forest. It’s a fun experience for families, especially with kids who enjoy spotting animals in their natural habitat.
4. Watchtower and Nature Trails: The watchtower offers a panoramic view of the dense forest, while the nature trails are perfect for a light trek amidst nature. It’s a great place for photography enthusiasts.
5. Proximity to Chilkur Balaji Temple: If you're planning a full day trip, you can combine a visit to the famous Chilkur Balaji Temple, which is just a few minutes away.

Cons:
1. Limited Facilities: The park is relatively underdeveloped compared to other national parks. Facilities like restrooms and refreshment options are minimal, so it's advisable to carry your own snacks and water.
2. Short Safari Duration: The safari ride is quite brief, lasting only around 15-20 minutes. Those expecting a longer wildlife experience might be slightly disappointed.
3. Timing Restrictions: The park has specific visiting hours (typically 9 AM to 5 PM), so plan your visit accordingly to avoid being turned away.

Conclusion: Mrugavani National Park is a great destination for those who enjoy nature and wildlife in a serene, uncrowded setting. It may not have all the bells and whistles of larger national parks, but its natural beauty and tranquility make it worth a visit, especially if you're in Hyderabad looking for a short and peaceful getaway.

Nothing special as per my experience but, can experience greenery, small watch tower , spotted deers ? (too far within fences).

Decent place for a picnic.

Note:- I haven't tried Jeep/bus safari & most of the zones are prohibited areas.

2 special cottages available but, Not sure if allowed for common people or only VIP's.

Nice place for a weekend time pass with kids and family. The place is full with dears.Nothing great or amazing about it ,just a small park.
Safari is too costly.Overall , can visit once .

It didn't feel like a national park, a broad view is only available for Safaris, only Deers we can see here and looks like it's popular for family picnics
