I went on a Thursday, as the museum isn't open during the first part of the week. For a small fort and a touched away museum, this has one of the nicest and most interactive displays of all the forts in the area. There are videos to watch and colorful, illustrative displays with many artifacts to walk you through the history of the entire area and the fort. This exhibit will only continue to grow, as they plan to build a scaled model re-creation of the fort soon.

Beautiful.

They think humans have caused the rise in waters nearby, maybe maybe not for they do not write about the little ice age of the time which may have had an effect on the sea levels in the area and thus the forts wouldn't have had any problems being built where they were.

They are teaching and automatically assuming science without actual knowledge of the times when the forts were built. This information needs to be considered.

There is a lot of historical information listed in the museum, we weren't able to walk the trail, on account it was pouring rain. The place was clean and quiet. At the time of our visit only small groups were in attendance. Next time I'm in St Augustine I would love to revisit here. Helpful information they will be building a replica of Fort Mose, to be completed in 2024.I liked how some of the information presented is motion activated and it's not too loud while listening. I hope everyone enjoys the historical information about our country and this significant part of Florida history.

This park has some incredible history with a walking path that gives detailed information about Africqn Americans' contributions to this area.
They plan to build the fort on the grounds to give a visual and more interactive view for visitors.
We visited because my wife had taught her students about this in 3rd grade, and since we were in the area, we decided to stop by and check it out.

It's a nice area with a small easy boardwalk, and shaded open space. The history is cool to learn about the site. There isn't an actual standing fort as other forts in the area.

Most locals don't even know about Fort Mose, but they should! This state park features three short trails, two leading to the intercoastal waterway. There's a small, but lovely museum that's kid- friendly for $2/each with clean bathrooms. I was told by the park ranger that they will be building a replica fort in 2024, so I'll definitely return to check it out.

Worth the visit. A lot of history explaining how Blacks searched for freedom and the Spanish provided it to them. Although, the fort has sunken into the marsh, there's plenty of scale replicas on the how the fort looked. Learned a lot today!!!!

This is a little hidden gem just north of St Augustine. Everything is well done. The ranger and the volunteer were really helpful in answering questions. The ranger had a real passion for the history.

The setting is absolutely beautiful. Make sure you walk out to the dock and the boardwalk. Take your time and look all around. There are birds everywhere. I really enjoyed the wood storks. There are also crabs walking around.

We spent about 2 hours there. It is a grand place for history buffs and nature lovers.
