This state park is one of the largest in Minnesota! That being said they have a myriad of trails and paths to venture through! There is a lovely beach, a 5 mile bike trail from the campground to the beach, and many more hiking trails. As for camping, there are 3 separate campgrounds with many campsites as well as a few cabins! They also have kayak/canoe rentals during the summer! Overall this is a great place to go to if you’re looking for a place for outdoor activities!

We had a fantastic 5 nights in the Old Logging Campground. Our site was level and had vegetation blocking much of the other sites. The bathrooms were very clean with strong spacious showers. They have hiking trails but also have paved bike trails that run throughout the park. The sites in the lower numbers appear to be wide open to neighbors.

We stayed Saturday - Monday. We were going to stay until Tuesday but decided to cut it short when severe weather and continuous heavy rain was forecast. We had a great time while we were there, it was very quiet - but it appeared that it was at far less than 50% capacity. On a bike ride we saw lots of wildlife, including two bears in the fire break clearing. It’s very convenient and a short 1 hour 20 minute drive from the north metro (Blaine).

Being the largest state park in MN, St Croix State Park is a gem! The 12 mile drive down to the rivers edge is covered with a beautiful tree canopy. Many great hiking trails and overlooks to have a picnic at

Nice place to camp except for the mosquitoes. We foated from the campground to sand creek. The outfitter is very accommodating and reasonably priced. We also paddled around Clayton lake. The bugs aren't so bad out on the water. We started a few hikes but never made it more than a mile before the bugs, and the mud made us quit. We heard many birds along with a whiporwill at night. We saw deer, turkey, and a bear.

Minnesota's largest state park! Took quite a while driving on dirt roads to get to our destinations around the park. The hiking club trail is fun, with informational stops about the CCC and great views of the river at the turnaround point. Saw some wildlife as well which is always fun.

Went two different times for two different events, cabins were nice and clean, roads were not bad. If you go for an event around the spring and summer time pay a little extra to have the place sprayed for mosquitoes otherwise you won't be having a good time.
