Nice park with a great walking path with a fun scarecrow trail in October, great views/landscape, and a nice lake. I was hoping to see the farm but it closed right before we got there, the hours were posted inside of the park instead of outside of the gate. Other then that we had a nice visit!

Such a nice state park. It's a tree mile drive on the road to the park. The prairie and trees are so beautiful no matter the time of year. We visit often to hike and recently went to see the scarecrows. There's a farm area, an Indian village area, camping, a water park, several trails. Lots of picnic areas. There is an entrance fee as it is a state park, but passed available.

Beautiful large family friendly park. $8 per vehicle for day use (Indiana Residents) $10 for non residents. This park has all the bells and whistles, aquatic center, farm, museum, campground with hot showers, rv dump station, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, basketball courts, hiking and biking trails, bathrooms throughout the property and more. I had 3 bars of Verizon 4G LTE Roaming throughout the property. Parking is paved and plentiful, large enough for any size rig or RV.

Let's talk pros a d cons
Pro
Paved bike paths, plenty of full hook up sites, lots of nice clean trails, surrounded by prairie , activities hosted by park to keep kids and adults interested, fun water park (must be 48inches to go on slides though the lifeguards weren't insane about this), the farm, the visitor center is cool, native American structures, very well maintained, SO many water fountain/spickets around campground
Cons
No free water options (fishing doesn't count. A beach would have been fun), lots of E-bikes flying by dangerously fast if kids had popped out of nowhere they would have been screwed. Playground at entrance of campground (would have been nice to have it tucked in the back)

Really, there weren't a ton of negatives. This was an ideal location with a decent amount of stuff for the kids to do. In our opinion, if we don't hear I'm bored a few times, then the kids are overstimulated. This was by far the prettiest state park we have been to. It's great for a day trip, but you can't miss a sunrise or sunset with the prairie. We took advantage of a float trip with Wildcat Canoe and Kayak, too. This experience was fun and made a nice addition to the overall trip.

PS. If you don't like walking ?, bring a bicycle or scooter, there are well maintained paths for everyone.

The perfect place to visit, have fun, buy farm produce or camp ?.... Single entry cost $8.

Took my daughter there. It’s 8$ to get In the park with your car.
They have really nice paved walking and bike trails. They also have a really nice water park with a lazy river and a couple slides. It’s $5 a person for entry unless your a young child then it’s free they have a lot of nice picnic areas that also have play areas for the kids. They also have a little Indian village that are old buildings. They also have a farm that has a barn and some horses, cows, pigs, ducks, chickens, that you can pick up and play with.
