My boyfriend has been doing martial arts for several years! This school is like home to him. The instructors/owners are amazing! They were very welcoming when I first met them. Since then they’ve become family.

They have great MA programs for adults and children! A fantastic fit program which I did! Great holiday events! The owners do so much for their school and deserve more than just a good review!

I can’t wait for my child to be old enough to attend their school! I highly recommend Next Gen Mu Sool!!

Both my son and my daughter have been training here for 4 plus years. My son recently obtained his black belt and my daughter hopes to get hers one day. My children love both instructors and their fellow students. This place is much more than just a martial arts school, it's a family. Both Ricky and Meghan go above and beyond not to just teach martial arts but to nurture our children and help guide them to a successful future. I HIGHLY recommend this facility if you are interested in getting your child or yourself into martial arts!

I have known Ricky and Meghan for most of my martial arts career (more than 20 years). I have been to different schools and different styles, just to check them out, and this is definitely the school I will always call home. My children have grown up and out of the house, but they still retain their friendships with Ricky and Meghan. My wife and I continue to attend the Fit classes. I helped train many of the instructors that now teach at Next Gen, and I can say that with 100% surety, I am extremely proud of how these boys have turned in to outstanding young men. You will not find a better group of people to train with and learn from, than Next Gen Moo Sool.

I have been training in Next Gen Mu Sool for over 14 years now and have only grown fonder of the art and the family that this school offers. This school has improved my martial arts abilities but also my own confidence. Next Gen Mu Sool is not just a school but also a community that allows everybody to connect as a whole. The owners are amazing and always pushing for new ways on how to bring the family closer together. Even through the covid-19 pandemic that has caused everyone to social distance and separate; Ricky and Meghan Garcia have kept providing new and engaging virtual activities and challenges for the community to stay knit together, and keep on growing.

My son has been with Ricky and Meghan since well before Next Gen Mu Sool was formed. When he was younger, the van shuttle service that picked up elementary school kids from school was super convenient and important. The instruction taught the value of practice that translated to schoolwork. And the atmosphere is both disciplined, fun, and relaxed, not up-tight or militant. Several times my son wanted to quit early on, but Ricky and Meghan always had a great way to get my son to agree to come "one more time", at which point the emotions were gone and the community remained relevant enough to continue attending. There was also tons of flexibility with my son's relaxed self-paced approach to belt advancement. Now that he is a teen and a black belt, he values the sense of community, and the opportunity to be in a fun supporting environment to de-stress from the pressures of high school. Since the formation of Next Gen Mu Sool, I have seen a significant focus on striking techniques, and higher standards with expectations for skill mastery, which is applicable to self defense. The kids also love the instruction with weapons, and the sparing sessions. Also, students that master the material are given leadership roles regardless of age, which fosters self-confidence and responsibility. If you are looking for a martial arts community your child can mature into and become a leader in, this is the place for you. There is no glass ceiling, and no gender bias. Your only limitation is that which you create for yourself.

I’ve been training at Next Gen Mu Sool for nearly two years now. Before going into martial arts I was already motivated to lose weight and learn about self defense, but I never really had a place where I felt comfortable working out besides my home.

I started attending after one of my best friends told me about this awesome martial arts school he goes to and asked if I wanted to try it. It really surprised me how welcoming everyone was. The instructors are passionate, knowledgeable, helpful, respectful and they have a good sense of humor.

After joining they continued improving by adding classes like Next Gen Fitness and Weightlifting. The classes are a great workout and I am loving the improvements I have seen in myself physically, and as a person.

Last but not least they do a really good job adapting to situations. In class if you don’t have the right equipment to do something, or struggle because of a past injury, they almost always have alternatives. They transitioned to online classes smoothly since the pandemic, and made acquiring clothes for class and merchandise easier, by making an online website for purchases.

This school has really helped me. I find myself doing more than I thought I could. I am pleased with the experiences and people I met. I would recommend Next Gen Mu Sool to anyone.

I have trained at Next Gen Mu Sool for about three years, and find that the owners and primary instructors are very skilled and knowledgeable. Their program for children and youth is one of the best in the Austin area. I have and continue to recommended it to others. The adult program is also top quality.

Having preciously trained in martial arts, I also find it refreshing that the owners have not allowed the school to become a "black belt mill" awarding senior ranks to undeserving students.

We have been a part of Next Gen Mu Sool family for over 5 years. My oldest son recently earned his black belt and my other son is excelling as well. Both boys have really enjoyed being a part of the school and look forward to classes. The instructors make the classes fun but challenging to develop the skills to become a great martial artist.
