Super musée ! La partie boutique est bien fourni, il comporte une partie art et une partie musée "classique"
10 dollars par personnes, il y a beaucoup de beaux objets, les panneaux d'écritures sont intéressants.
Les agentes du musée sont passionnées c'est très agréable.
1 à 2 heures ne seront pas de trop pour visiter l'ensemble.

We stayed the night in Alpine and came across this fantastic museum. Loved the exhibits and the history.
I loved the architecture of the museum.
Don't skip over the giftshop it had really neat things and cute souvenirs.

un interessante mostra per capire bene le dinamiche del parco nazionale del big bend... è un must visitarlo primo di recarsi al parco... ti danno pure un adesivo da mettere sulla maglietta che se poi lo sfoggi al parco i ranger impazziscono di gioia e tipo ti dicono: "ahhh sei stato al museo del big bend! che bello!" e io tipo ho risposto loro: "si è stato interessantissimo!!!"

A very interesting museum awaits you on the Sul Ross University in Alpine, Texas. History and art exhibits are world class. A quick drive from my camp at Fort Davis State Park campgrounds! There is plenty to see in town, plus an awesome selection of dining options!

This place is awesome. Don't forget to walk to Garden out by the side. It takes you all the way up the the cliff. Everybody was nice and I loved the history. I recommend stopping by here!

Terrific museum covers the Big Bend region’s history and geology and a bit of art. I was fortunate to be there for a special exhibit of Andy Warhol’s “Cowboys and Indians” but even without that it was worth the stop.

Came to visit the area in a February and wound up spending some time in this museum. Enjoyed the free visit. Not a huge place, but definitely full of information and insights of the college and surrounding area. The full life-sized flying dinosaur (sorry, can't spell it!) was very impressive as was the fossilized bones of just ONE enormous wing. The usual cowboy, frontier, and old-time exhibits were also around to be enjoyed and to learn. Definitely a fun & interesting place to spend the time and if I had young kids it would be a MUST see spot.
