So glad we stopped by! It is a free, 2 level art gallery. The permanent gallery is upstairs and downstairs they have seasonal exhibitions. We were lucky to have caught the last day of Alfredo Arreguín exhibition. I have never heard of him, but his patterned paintings were absolutely mesmerizing. Honestly the most amazing art I’ve seen. The gift shop also had a lot of unique items. Will be back when passing through La Conner!

An excellent spot to stop for a break from the world. You can learn about a talented artist whose name might not be in the limelight, but super talented. The entrance is complementary and the museum offers activities for kids to make art and learn more skill. Definitely a place worth visiting

Beautiful art gallery in La Conner. If you are visiting La Conner there is really no reason you shouldn't visit this gallery. The art is a selection of various forms of art from local northwest artists. There is sculpture, glasswork and lots of paintings. The gallery has two levels and many very large impressive pieces. There was a class going on while we were there so I assume that they do classes on a regular basis. There is an elevator at the back if you need one and in the middle of the main galleries an impressive spiral staircase. The gallery store is quite large and a good place to find some interesting gifts on your travels.

It was cute. Nicolette and Howard were great with the kiddos. Good little field trip. I was bummed we didn't have time for the shop, but that was probably best since we went with a Kindergarten class ?

What a great little museum about the lives and shared hardships of people in Skagit County. It was only $4 each for us elders and kept us occupied for a couple of hours. You're going to have to hunt a bit off the beaten path for it though. It's at the end of a street, up the hill a couple of blocks from where most people roam for the kitsch of an "antique-y" town, but the search itself will lead you to some beautifully maintained older homes.
