Here’s what you need to know, this doctor is straight up with the advice he gives. Will not cave into unnecessary treatments. I’m sure this is the source of bad reviews. I’m sure when there are disagreements he might be a little blunt but you really don’t want a doctor to cave into everything you ask them for. They need to be able to say no.

Had him for my colonoscopy and I trusted him with my life. Went smoothly and there were even chance of complications and thankfully all went well. He seemed super focused on his work as well.

Was able to get me into for a colonoscopy quickly, explained everything I wanted to know, staff explained everything multiple times and told me to call with any complications. I guess the worst thing about him is his bluntness but you really don’t want someone who caves into patients when they’re wrong and unnecessary tests are ordered. Would trust with my family members life’s as well.

Dr.Hong is an amazing doctor and a human being. He takes his time to explain things in a way that his patients can comprehend. He is very knowledgeable, but also very down to earth. His staff is also amazing. They work hard behind the scenes and get things done for the patients. Awesome team. That's why I've been going to this practice for close to 2 decades.

A long time ago, my wife's abdomen had a part that was little difficult to check with an X-ray, so the doctor in charge suggested that it would be good to try an MRI, but she hasn't been able to do it in the meantime. Anyway it was a long time has passed since she had a colonoscopy, she consulted her primary care doctor and the Dr. said it would be better for her to do a colonoscopy first and after checking the results to decide whether or not to get MRI. So I called Hong Moo-kyung Clinic to make an appointment for an endoscopy, and I was told by the staff to come after taking MRI first. I asked her it would be okay have a MRI after having a endoscopy
Then she treated me like I was talking nonsense.
And she pushed me to make an appointment or not, so I canceled the appointment. I couldn't understand why the staff, who handle the appointment try to decide what the doctor was supposed to decide. I thought I knew why the reviews about this hospital were not very good.

The front office person doesn't have any willingness to work or simply rude. She repeats herself, doesn't listen and her saying doesn't make sense. Even before going to the office, I was not sure whether this is a professional place to see a patient.

I had my upper endoscopy done over month ago and still did not get the biopsy results. I have a platinum insurance with zero deductible (verified this doctor and facility are in-network) but they billed me for couple hundreds dollars of deductible charges telling me that it's co-insurance. EOB says that it's deductible and specifically noted that member is NOT liable. I already paid 10% of co-insurance and co-pay for this procedure. Plus, they hired OUT OF NETWORK anasthesia physician which caused me so much trouble. Front office staff are so condescending and not willing to work with. I've worked in this fields for over 10 years but never had such unpleasant experience.
