Small, but really great place to visit. On the college campus. The employee there was so nice. Recommended another museum that was wonderful too. Worth the time to visit and they change their exhibits so going while close by would be a good idea.

The Meadows Museum is tucked into the campus of Centenary College of Louisiana. Though it is small, it is well-curated and seems to have found its niche among larger museums around the south. I visited the Awkward Family Photos exhibit and enjoyed a laugh-out-loud experience! While there I also took in a moving photographic exhibit featuring creole architecture in Haiti. The Meadows has a number of rotating exhibits showing throughout the academic year and is closed in the summer. If you are visiting the Centenary campus or Shreveport in general, I highly recommend you stop by and see what's showing! Additionally, opening nights usually feature a fun cocktail reception with a cash bar, plenty of free food, and various lecturers or curators of the exhibits.

No idea what the museum is actually like since they're also closed for "school holidays" and winter break. Would have been nice to know before driving from another state just for them to he closed. ?

The art in their vault is a keystone of Indochinese culture in America and it's a shame they don't show it regularly enough. The staff is kind and helpful
