As the annual pass holder, it’s a shame that I never squeezed out the time to get on this boat.
My husband and I went to park during the memorial weekend and the park was super packed so we decided to try something that we haven’t done yet.

The operation hours of Mark Twain Riverboat are from 9am to 5:40pm daily.

The boat ride is estimated 15 mins and it will show you around the Rivers of America. You will have a chance to take a closer look at the stage for Fantasmic show and enjoy the following scenes.
-Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island
-The north bank of the Columbia Gorge
-A rustic frontier cabin
-An idyllic Native American village
-A busy beaver at work chewing on the train trestle
-Mountain lions relaxing in the sun
-The Disneyland Railroad steaming into the wilderness

It's good for a break from the crowds and a hot weather. Overall I like this experience.

Climb aboard the Mark Twain and be transported back to a time of great wonder and exploration. Back in the days of the Indians and trade routes along the great Mississippi. Take a small cruise down the great Rivers Of American and see some iconic points of interest. Walk around the great steam engine paddle boat and see some amazing and interesting detail on American ingenuity. Mark 1…. Mark 2….. Marrrrrrkkkkk Twaiiinnnnnnnn….

This is one of the oldest attractions at Disneyland so it's fairly sedate like other rides from that era. But maybe that's the point. It was fun to explore the replica and go around the short circuit in the pond envisioning the old 1960s frontier movie classics. Kind of expected to see Tom Sawyer might surprise us by running along the rim of the island. Good old fashioned nostalgia.

A nice boat ride after a long day of walking and waiting in lines. My fiancée really wanted to go on this little boat ride so of course we had to go. Before we enter, I asked the employee how long was the ride and they said about 15 minutes. The boat just sail around the theme park and you get to see some nice views of things. Some of the stuff I haven't even seen before so it was nice. We sat on the 2nd deck, where the lifejacket is suppose to be since we didn't want to be expose to the sun. It's a nice boat ride and give you time to charge your phone if you're low on battery or talk to your fiancée.

Mark Twain is a beautiful steamboat. A great place to relax and enjoy the scenery. There are seats on the front of the boat-they go fast. LEnjoy your trip around the Rivers of America.Maybe catch a glance of the new Stars Wars land being built...Galaxy's Edge.

There are a lot of cool places to take photos on board.

There are three decks for passengers and the pilot's cabin is above the third. I'm not sure if they still do it but I think they do. We were able to ride in the cabin with the pilot. My daughter even got to ring the bell. The cabin is small so you can only take 2-3 people with you. Ask one of the cast members at the loading dock if you can do it. You might have to wait for a few trips for your turn.

They changed the ride so much that it's much shorter and they don't offer the Captain 's certificates anymore so that was a big letdown for the kids. It was really hot on the day we went (97 degrees) going below deck wasn't an option as it felt about 10-15 degrees hotter. The boat packs up pretty fast and spots to look around are few and far between. A bit disappointing but the kids found it kinda cool with them firing the canon and the historical tidbits...
