Absolutely love this hotel. The husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and it was so peaceful and relaxing. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are big. The view was amazing and the drinks were delicious. Will be coming back in the future with our kids. Definitely recommend!

Let’s just say based on the reviews and photos I expected better. The room we stayed in (608) was so small and it smelled musty, moldy and damp. There was absolutely zero ventilation and you can tell they tried to cover the smell up with some sort of cleaning product. To make matters worse the room was infested with ants, they were crawling all over the floor, nightstand and walls. We talked to other guests and they were experiencing the same thing on different floors. We considered asking to switch rooms but decided not to in fear of getting something even worse. In some areas of the resort (exiting out to the pool, restaurant and outdoor bar area) it smells like sewage and mold. The elevators were also really dirty. The next thing that really bothered us was the TV situation, after a long day you just want to unwind and watch a show but it was nearly impossible with the TV constantly glitching. Also, be aware that they don’t do housekeeping daily. One day a man did come to collect towels etc. we let him know we also had 2 dirty glasses (the ones they provide in the rooms) he literally came in and washed them in the bathroom sink with his hands and put them back up on the shelf! No soap or anything. I was appalled. The only good thing I have to say about this resort is the location and beach access. Don’t expect high end if you plan on coming here, it truly wasn’t worth the money.

WARNING! Hidden fees and dishonest managers!
Be especially careful when using a third party site to book. Two of the managers that I talked to on 10/18 afternoon and 10/20 morning both told me that they regularly get complaints of fees that were not expected but do nothing about it. Both of them also had promised and said they would cut my extra fees by $100. But this was not true and I was charged that as well. When I asked for a business card for someone to call, the office number had been disconnected and the cell number went to a generic voicemail.

So sad that a large agency must resort to tricking and lying to their customers. Highly recommend staying away from Margaritaville. Especially this one.

Shame because the location and rooms were great! Could have been a great experience.

Great location, super easy beach access. But nothing else felt resort-like. First room stunk of mildew so badly we got another. AC and hot water were unreliable. Pool is small and too shallow. Live music and pool DJ were mediocre. Prices should be consistent and posted, not up to the whim of the manager as the pool cabanas seemed to be. We had a good time but it felt more like an average hotel experience.
That being said, Marta was incredibly gracious and helpful with our room issue and she deserves a shout out. You need to hang on to staff like that.

Having stayed here when it was the Pearl before, I can say the cosmetic upgrades are significant and themed nicely to Margaritaville. The staff upon arrival were nice and welcoming. Moving on to the room itself, I have to say we’ve all stayed in hotels before and expect a certain level of cleanliness & comfort during our stay. The restroom had a “quick clean” feel to it, there was lots of hair on the floor around the toilets and against the walls & the Floors seemed dirty. The A/C is mediocre and made the room feel muggy. A good tip for incoming guests is when arriving in the room, check the hot water, let it run for a good 10 minutes. So any issues can be addressed earlier in the day. When we showered at night the hot water wasn’t working and I tried calling the front desk from our room. But the phone only gave a busy tone no matter what buttons we pressed. Maintenance checked the hot water at 945 pm. He said he was going to check the pump. He never came back to let us know if the problem was fixed. After about 45 minutes the water did get hot, but the low flow in the shower was the new problem. The next day I asked the front desk if they could have the issue checked. Which they did. Later that day we were told that it’s operating normally. During these problems I will say the staff was pleasant and tried to help us. I believe the money spent on those cosmetic upgrades really needed to be spent on the hotels inner workings/maintenance upgrades as well.
Don’t get me wrong the rest of the hotel was not a downer like the rooms. The hotel amenities were nice. The pool wasn’t crowded at all. Access to the beach is literally right by the pool. The restaurant was good and no one had an issue with their food. Overnight parking is $15 a night though. Overall not sure if I’d stay again. I don’t want to go based on this 1 experience. If the room A/C’s ever got upgraded and the low flow problems were addressed then maybe?

We had a great time here for a week. The rooms were very clean and nice. They had a few food options on the resort. Most employees were really nice and friendly. We did have some problems with checking in since we got there a little early. I had to constantly check in with the front desk despite sitting in the lobby and the clerk had a clear attitude. I would advise buying the blender cups on day one to save you some money and time walking to the bar.

Good location service needs lots of work. First we went to dinner and they didn’t bring us any napkins or silverware. Food was pretty meh at best and then when they remembered to bring utensils she said sorry we don’t have any clean silverware here’s some plastic packs. That I could get over but then after a long exhausting day I get in bed and the sheets are HORRIBLE. They literally feel like they’re covered in sand because of all this random fuzz. I called downstairs about this and they came and brought me the sheets to put on myself ?. If I wanted to make my own bed I wouldn’t go to a hotel resort. Overall just pretty bummed especially since we came for my mom's birthday and I just wanted to do something nice for her.
