This museum is a secret gem, they open in the weekend and the entrance is free. This is a nice place to visit with your family.

I am not qualified to explain why this is such an amazing place, but my professional artist husband and artist friends rightfully revered being in this space.
It is beautifully laid out. Pieces are placed well to allow you to see the works close up and steps away. And it does not feel visually crowded. I also appreciated that they deviated from the boring "museum white" and gave certain display walls separate muted color personalities. It helped give collections a sense of unity.
There are enough angled walks, bays, and nooks to the gallery to allow for a very large number of different current and impressive historic works to be seen.
L-R M is between Tarpon Springs and Palm Harbor. We had the pleasure of dining in Tarpon before the opening.
I recommend treating yourself to a trip "up there" to the northern side of Pinellas County.

Highly recommend this exhibit to anyone interested in art or artists ? featuring miniature paintings, artwork by alot of local artists currently. We went on a Sunday around 2pm and were surprised by how many people were there. It is absolutely FREE to the public.!! ? Local artists were there answering questions about their work for the kids that shared their interest in art. Definitely a worthwhile visit ? ? ? . Closed on Mondays!

I visited on a Saturday afternoon to see the visiting exhibit, Made in Florida. Our visit took about an hour. I have seen some of these artist's booths at Gasparilla Art Show.

Wonderful small museum with a beautifully displayed collection, principally featuring the art of modern expressionist Abraham Rattner. It was well worth the visit. We particularly loved the interactive "April Showers" installation. Enjoyed shopping in the gift shop, too!

I loved this correction and never really understood Rattner's contribution until spending such a wonderful morning at this Museum. Friendly reception, well lit, and perfectly displayed works. Educational and fresh. Highly recommended.
