Terrible. There’s literally glass and trash all over. Gates are broken, debris and broken toys everywhere. There are no dogs or people here, other than the meth heads in the totally sketch, pothole filled parking lot. I don’t know where the hell these positive reviews came from but it wasn’t here.

Really sad how this place has deteriorated. Hope they get some much needed funding to revamp this spot for the pups❤. I really wish it looked like it use to we still go to the dog park two to three times per week and it is not up to par on what the dogs need. It is dilapidated and running on fumes. They need every bit of available funding to get it hack up to what it use to be. The puppies deserve it.

Wish there were water bowl stations there. But loved how much space there was to move around in. Some work is needed as some of the stuff is pretty old. Need a larger sign from parking lot to let people know where it is

What a disappointment ☹️ We travelled far to experience this park and it looked abandoned and neglected with overgrown weeds and broken/forgotten obstacles some with rusty nails sticking out and unsafe for dogs to be jumping on them. The parking lot was blocked off and the surrounding tennis courts have overgrown trees, bushes and weeds everywhere. It’s a shame the money that was used to build this park didn’t include the maintenance of up keeping it. Definitely not worth the trip.

My bar for jackson bark was very low based on recent reviews however my dog and I still really enjoyed the park. I think part of the run down appearance is intentional as they repurpose construction pieces. There were no other pooches there but we still used the equipment and got a good run in!

This place must be decommissioned. There's not even running water here for a dog to drink. It looks like it's been maintained in years. Kinda run down. The should just build a fence around the grassy area to let dogs just run around.

I've been to a lot of dog parks in a lot of states. This dog park is by far the most interesting. Todd has done a lot of work and there are a lot of stories behind each piece. If you and your dog are on the southside of Chicago and want a place to play, just Google Jackson Bark. You won't be disappointed.

Used to be fenced in tennis courts.
Now it's like an obstacle course for your dog. It's pretty fun and unique. Definitely a creative park unlike any other in Chicago.
It's community maintained and welcoming to all sized pups.
Last I saw they added a mini water park and a diy dog bath out of blue recycle bins. Pretty cool!
