Dickerson Park zoo is a great medium sized zoo. I have been to about 20 zoos across the USA, and this one is definitely up there as one of the better zoos I have visited. The admission was more than reasonable at about $20. They have many great different themed areas, like the African savanna, Missouri wilderness, and their snakes/reptiles exhibits. I loved feeding the giraffes. The zoo is well maintained with good enclosures for the animals.

I went to visit my newest grandbaby and my flight home was canceled twice. I took my daughter-in-law and granddaughters (4) to the zoo before my flight. We could have spent more time there and slowed down for sure - but we were able to quickly go through in a little over two hours. If I would have had more time we could have seen the tiger show and rode the train - ? next time for sure.

My favorite part (and the three older sisters) was feeding the giraffes ? so fun to be able to interact with wild life - God is amazing how majestic He created us all! A must visit!

All the restrooms were clean and they had several snack stations which is GREAT on a hot day.

A nice "little" Zoo, overall. There was a pretty nice variety of animals and their habitats were mostly clean. Feeding the giraffes is a must-do! There were some animals that I haven't seen in other zoos, such as mountain lions and black bears. We went on a Tuesday afternoon in September, so we had the place almost to ourselves.

It's a nice little zoo. Not too small, plenty of animals to see, and everything was clean and well kept, including animal enclosures. But, I do agree with other reviews that some of the enclosures were a bit small or lacking enrichment items. The elephant exhibit especially. I also only saw one elephant, and it did look depressed. I hope they have another elephant companion for it that was just not out or something. But if not, then my heart aches even more for the one we saw. The enclosure was small, and it didn't have much to it. Poor fella looked lonely. I've been to zoos all over the USA and this was the first time I had seen an elephant in a small space, by itself, and no enrichment items. On that same note, there were a few other animal enclosures that had plenty of enrichment stuff. The food and beverages were fairly priced, and there were tons of big beautiful peacocks. Overall, I'd encourage people to go and visit. Your visits help fund the food and care those animals get, which is so important and much needed. So go enjoy visiting them!

The weight time depends what time you get there if you get there when it right open usually a little line but the people who work there is fast they’re friendly it’s not a big zoo, but it’s a great zoo I got a membership when my daughter was about one and a half years she loved it. She’s two now she still loves it. I think the park that’s in the zoo is for kids a tad bit older than her but she loves the park That’s in the parking lot.

Honestly thought this would be a smaller zoo with only a few animals, I was totally wrong. It was a good sized zoo with a ton of animals. Also many of the animals were right up front moving around. We spent a lot more time here than we expected and it was great. Only call-out is the one walkway by the black bear exhibit is out so you have to double around on some steeper hills. If I am in the area I will definitely stop back

This zoo is awesome. It has grown with so many new exibits over the years. It is well kept and clean. All exibits are easily accessed with well marked, wide walking trails. There are plenty of places to stop and rest. My grandkids really enjoyed the train.
