We were unsure of what to expect, but were pleasantly surprised as there are lots of activities and even exterior play structures to keep kids busy easily for a couple hours.
The staff are plentiful and helpful, especially in the arts and creates sections.
One lady personally helped my kid (who loves art) make 3 different projects which was super sweet of her.
The climb structure inside is challenging but has quite a few exits so it kept a couple kids busy for 15 mins.

Downsides are that their parking is pretty pricey, alternatively you can do street parking which is cheaper but you need a physical CC.
The price of the museum is steep and why pay for adults who are mostly observing?
Most play areas and even other kids museums on east coast USA require a fee for the kids only.

While in the Houston area, I was gifted a couple of tickets to the Children's Museum, and let me just say—this is a *must* if you have kids under 12.

I took my 2-year-old son, and he had an absolute blast!

The museum was amazing. As soon as we walked in, we stepped into a mini kid-sized world with a bank, a news network, and a grocery store. My son loved playing the role of grocery store employee, and I had so much fun pretend shopping with him. This place is seriously packed with fun. You get pretend money and a pretend card to use, making it even more interactive.

Outside, there’s an entire water play section where kids can mess around with water gadgets, boats, and more! My son had the time of his life. There’s also a stand outside where you can grab popsicles and popcorn, which was perfect in the Houston heat—it really made the experience even better.

We headed back inside and discovered the museum has an entire game room, but we didn’t have enough time to explore it.

I 1000% recommend this place—there’s so much to explore! Just come see for yourself!

What a vibe! What a traffic of little ones ? that’s the first thing I’ll take about because we wanted to take advantage of free Thursday evenings here and what a crowd there was as you can see in my pictures! Definitely worth visiting for your little ones because there are literally a gazillion things to do out there. Multiple floors and multiple fun! Stroller friendly as well!

Excellent children's museum. Good mix of STEM and pretend play activities for a wide range of ages. All signage is in English and Spanish. Easy to navigate a stroller throughout. Plenty of restrooms. In-house cafe with tasty food at reasonable prices. Some of the exhibit spaces do get very loud and crowded. They have lots of staff and volunteers available throughout the exhibits to answer questions and keep spaces tidy.
My only complaint is the lack of trash cans.
Paid parking garage right across the street.
There is a very nice water area outdoors, so it's wise to bring a change of clothes.
We stayed 3.5 hours and would have stayed longer if time allowed. We will definitely return.

Went on a Sunday, and it was pretty crowded. Parking was tough as well. We found a parking garage about 3 blocks away. There are three floors of exhibits and an outside area. I went with a 4 - and 5 year old, and some exhibits were too mature for them, but others were perfect. Bring comfortable clothes, there is a climbing area that adults and children can use.
