A las piezas históricas les falta cuidado, se observa deterioro en alguna de ellas. Falta más señalización,.ojalá en otro idioma también. Los souvenirs son limitados, deberían ampliar la oferta. El personal amable y atento (5/5)

Awesome place. Great history. Very helpful staff. The gift shop was a little pricy. The new exhibit was a little small, but understandable considering the history wasn't preserved very well. Really great place.

In an old armory building which was pretty cool to start with. Visited this museum instead of others in Houston to learn more about an area we had not explored in the past. Start off with the video to give you some context but spend some time in this room looking at the display cases as we found some of the best things here. Although some of the exhibits are undergoing renovation, it was definitely worth spending two hours there. Not sure small children would get much out of it.

My family and I received a warm welcome. The museum was well organized and offered a thorough glimpse into the Buffalo Soldiers as well as the history of blacks in the armed forces. There is even a section that pays tribute to African American trailblazing men and women in NASA. I would definitely recommend this museum if you are in the Houston area!

I enjoyed the visit and was reminded of the service of African Americans to the United States Armed Forces. I was surprised that the museum was not better funded. However, the pride was palatable and many of the exhibits were surprising. I also liked the old armory building. The museum deserves more visitors and better funding in the future. (Just compare this museum with the Asian Culture Center just a few blocks away).

The BSBM is small but powerful. The history of Black Americans protecting this country since the beginning is amazing!

I was in Houston with my hubby for his business trip. I don't know anyone in Houston, but I made new friends at the Y. We made plans to visit this museum, but they bailed on me (it is okay...this was all last minute). Anyway... I went alone and had a FABUOUS time. The museum is inexpensive, yet rich with culture and historical information. One of my favorites was a letter from an ex-slave to his former master. It was HYSTERICALLY FUNNY!!! I will definitely visit again! I purchased everyone back home a gift, except for myself! LOL! I will go again, and the next time, I'm bringing my brother-in-law, who is a Buffalo soldier!!
