KJMS is a traditional martial art that not only focuses on self-defense, but also respect, discipline, and confidence. My daughter, son, and I have been training for almost five years.

They have an excellent after school program. This is how we got started because we were having a lot of problems with the program at her school.

Get your kids here and then come in for the adult classes. I tested for black belt at 50 and am in the best shape since .y early 20s.

We recently started our journey with KJMS, though we have been a martial arts family for the last seven years. The knowledge and patience of the instructors here is remarkable. The KJMS family plan has even allowed our daughter to continue her martial arts journey which had been previously paused. Our whole family loves going to class here, we've been attending for more than a year. We attend adult classes and have a Tiger (4y to 7y) & 3 Dragons (7y to 14y). Our kids get a fun and engaging physical fitness activity, and simultaneously learn respect (for self and others), speed (mental and physical), and mental discipline / situational awareness. The highly skilled instructors reinforce the good manners we teach at home, and challenge every child at the level they need, that day. We highly recommend an introductory class, for adults wanting to learn serious self-defense, or kids looking for constructive after school activities. There is written and video curriculum for belt advancement and other KJMS schools, locally, nationally, and internationally. The style taught in KJMS incorporates hard forms, soft forms, throwing/grappling forms, and at higher belts training with weapons. In another large city, I trained in a similar type of school for several years in the 1990's, and believe KJMS to be one of the best martial arts schools, anywhere.

I love this place! I have all three of my kids here. We found them after our previous after-school care couldn't handle my special needs kid. They are so great with these kids. Even my hard to handle kiddo thrives here. I've seen so much improvement in all of my kids since enrolling them here.

I met Mr. Charles and Mrs. Sandi when I was 10 years old (I am now 28) and they are my family. I grew up loving this place and now my 4 year old son goes here and he absolutely loves it. They treat you like family and it teaches discipline, manners, respect, and how to help others. I can never say enough good things about this place and the people who make it so special. They changed my life and are doing it for my son too.

Our teenage daughter started training at KJMS at the beginning of the school year. She participates in their after-school program and beginning teen/ adults class. She is picked up from school with several other students daily to train before we pick her up after work. This has been a God-send for us with the lack of after-school care in her age range. She also attends two evening classes where she is receiving individual instruction. The personal growth we have seen in her is amazing. This program has instilled a sense of confidence and awareness in her that is more than we could ask for. I wish we would have signed her up years ago.
