I recently visited Cunningham Falls State Park, and I had a fantastic experience exploring the campsite, trails, and lake.

Campsite:
The campsite was well-maintained and offered a peaceful environment. The facilities were clean, and the surrounding forest provided a sense of privacy and connection to nature. The Bathroom could have been kept even more cleaner as that was on weekends.

Trail:
The trails from the Campsite leading to Cunningham Falls were enjoyable, with varying levels of difficulty to suit different hiking preferences. The paths were well-marked, making it easy to navigate, and the views along the way were rewarding, especially as you approach the waterfall.

Lake:
The lake area was a highlight for me. It’s a beautiful spot to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the serene surroundings. The water was clear, and the beach area was a great place to spend the afternoon.

Overall, Cunningham Falls State Park is a great destination for anyone looking to enjoy the outdoors. My kids enjoyed the Trial and Lake so much. Whether you’re camping, hiking, or spending time by the lake, there’s something for everyone. I’d definitely recommend it for a weekend getaway or a day trip. Note that the campsite, Trial and Lake are not pet friendly.

First visit to this nature park and we enjoyed the nature walk.It was a very slow day on sunday very few people.Lake is somewhat small, they do have boats but I guess it was closed at this time in Mid september.
As the park suggest to wear shoes for avoiding Snake bite on trail, so be careful.Rest a good picnic spot or for camperes.
Restrooms are maintained well.
Respect the mother nature and enjoy a great view.

This is a nice state park to visit. Roads are good, narrower in camping loops. Campsite pads are well thought out. Bathhouse was clean and taken care of. The dump station was all that a dump station should be ?We stayed in the Addison Loop.
There are two beach areas which were well attended. Trails vary in difficulty which are mentioned in the brochure and very well marked. The Falls were a little disappointing due to lack of rain, but with a good rainfall would be lovely.

A lovely campsite with lots of little things to do during the day. Campgrounds were nice and the individual sites were level and made it easy to set up tents. Bathrooms were clean and the showers had plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The actual waterfall was a little underwhelming, but the lake beach was nice, and there were lots of nice trail options (short and easy trails, longer and more difficult ones, etc.). Had a great time there and will definitely come back.

Great spot for families especially with children. There’s a beach and a playground and a grassy area and picnic tables and bathrooms. The hiking is ok and all over just an ok spot because the water is a little bit smelly and the trails are not far enough away from the highway, so it doesn’t feel as serene. The sound of the semi trucks going down the hill kind of takes away from the vibe. The one benefit of it being so close to the road however is there is an accessible parking lot with an accessible trail to see the waterfall…that is really cool. But the waterfall itself is pretty disappointing, as is the lake. You can swim in the lake if you’re ok with the smell and there are showers. You can’t swim in the waterfall/watering hole (well, I guess you could but you aren’t supposed to according to the signs). But pretty good amenities overall. There was no one at the station when we got here, so not sure how much it typically costs because we got in for free lol. Seems like there’s big events here with the aggressive amount of parking lots.
Overall solid spot, but I wouldn’t go back, but you can have a good time there!
