Superbe !

Nice museum to visit. A lot of things to see, historical, natural, industrial, military, arts and more.
Good environment, clean and organized.
We spent couple of hours there, but was not enough to cover everything.
We really enjoyed the visit.
Nice and friendly staff.
No parking lot, but there is a parking ramp in front of the museum.
I recommend this place to visit.

I recently attended a private company function at the Grand Rapids Public Museum and was thoroughly impressed by the venue and its offerings. The highlight of my visit was the awe-inspiring whale skeleton that dominates the main hall. This magnificent display sets a grand tone as you enter and provides a fascinating glimpse into marine life.

In stark contrast, the retro arcade section offers a delightful trip down memory lane. It was a joy to engage with classic arcade games, adding a fun and nostalgic element to the evening. The juxtaposition of these two exhibits underscores the museum's diverse appeal.

The event itself was exceptionally well-managed. The museum staff were professional and attentive, ensuring that all aspects of the function ran smoothly. The combination of an intriguing environment and top-notch service makes the Grand Rapids Public Museum an excellent choice for private events. Highly recommended!

Phenomenal place to take kids or grandkids and learn about history. The city of Grand Rapids history, along with the natural history of the area. It includes some amazing fossils found in the area, and full 3-D dioramas of different ecological niches, from a single drop of pond water blown up to 3 feet across, to wetlands complete with above and below water viewing. Elevators make easy access to all floors with stroller. Quiet areas around a outlet theater if your kids need a break. Also a very nice cafe. Beautiful site on the river downtown, and if you park in the structure across the street and take your parking ticket inside with you, the museum will validate it so the parking won't cost you anything. Highly recommend.

We had an excellent time at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. It was very insightful and the kids really enjoyed the robot zoo exhibit! There where games in the lobby and informative exhibits. Place was very clean, workers where helpful and kind amd we highly suggest this for all age groups. There was free validated parking in ramp with purchase of tickets, food court, planetarium, video arcade and even a great view of downtown Grand Rapids. Highly suggest everyone visits with the family!

Love taking my kids here, decently priced, lots to do. They lost one star because the new exhibit, the Robot Zoo, had multiple out of order exhibits, so that took away from the interactive part. Still would highly recommend!

What a wonderful place to spend a day. We arrived and were able to get a parking place by the museum. The museum had just opened for the day and general admission was a very reasonable price for 3 floors of exploring history and science.

We spent several hours exploring all 3 floors!

My favorite exhibits were "Finny" the finback whale skeleton. Then there was Old Streets of Grand Rapids and the Old Camper Trailer.

Definitely another trip back to the museum will be in order.
