The Lake Mary Museum was a very pleasant experience! It’s a small building but it’s filled with a bunch of history on how Lake Mary got started! Paula gave us the full tour and explanation and if you go I’d recommend the same

This was a very nice museum. The models are hand made by Joe(I think that was his name) Retired Navy. The details on the models are incredible. Everyone was nice and got a thorough history lesson. Great place to take the kids for history lessons and they have a dog who is so sweet.

Really wanted to see the museum before we left the area. Hours posted indicated it was open. We arrived Friday at 10:22 a.m. and not a soul around, all doors locked, no note, no hours change notice.

I'm starting to believe this is a Florida thing, this was the 4th place we visited during our short trip in which the business was closed yet google maps hours showed it should've been open.

Attended the Witches of Shakespeare theatrical play -.A cooperation between the Lake Mary Historical Museum and Seminole State College Fine Arts department. This brings the use of the building back to one of it's early functions back in the 1920s.
This local museum has charm of this beautiful little town. It is located next to a city park and lovely boutique shops and restaurants.

This place is a nice history museum that one can check out in like 30 minutes or less. They have lots of local history and memorabilia from around their community.

When I toured it they had a cute Halloween costume display that included steampunk items. I thought it was a clever display. Its a cute building.

Staff was very open and friendly without hovering.

There was a kind woman who welcomed my three-year-old and in. She was very generous and helpful. It was between exhibit so we saw some of the previous exhibit artwork, which was amazing, and we were told various artists are featured monthly.

Donation based local museum holds grudge against other local museums? I came in today and was asked why I came in. I mentioned I’ve been to the Sanford Museum, then was cut off by the volunteer. “Never mention Lake Mary and Sanford Museum in the same sentence.” Half of the stuff on display isn’t from Lake Mary. Got pieces of Longwood, Pieces of Sanford there too. Central Florida history overlaps and shouldn’t hold these feeble grudges. I’d come back another time for an event and see if I have a better opinion. First impression was horrible.
