This exhibit, which feels like a sneak peek for the Hip Hop Museum opening in 2024, is full of heart and love for the genre.

It's a wonderful way to spend an hour of your time with fellow hip-hop heads. There are fun interactives, legendary memorabilia and excellent vibes.

Make your way here if you can but definitely come back next year when the larger museum across the street opens. Much appreciation to everyone who put effort into making this place a reality.

As a lifelong hip-hop enthusiast, visiting the Universal Hip Hop Museum was an experience beyond my wildest dreams. From the moment I stepped through its doors, I knew I was in for something special. This museum is an absolute gem, a haven for hip-hop culture, and an essential pilgrimage for anyone who loves this influential and revolutionary art form.

Beyond the exhibits, the staff's friendliness and knowledge added to the overall experience. They were eager to answer questions, share stories, and engage in discussions about the culture. It felt like being part of a community that cherishes and respects the legacy of hip-hop.

The Universal Hip Hop Museum's gift shop was a treasure trove for hip-hop enthusiasts like myself. From vintage vinyl records to modern streetwear, I found unique souvenirs that will forever remind me of this unforgettable visit.

In conclusion, the Universal Hip Hop Museum is an absolute must-visit for anyone with even the slightest appreciation for hip-hop. It is an homage to the pioneers who paved the way and a celebration of the artists who continue to shape the genre's future. This place isn't just a museum; it's a living, breathing testament to the power of hip-hop as a cultural movement. Prepare to be inspired, educated, and moved by this extraordinary institution. I cannot wait to visit again and again, as it continues to evolve and preserve the legacy of hip-hop for generations to come.

This was such a unique experience. I enjoyed the historical approach to it and also the AI experience to suggest music. The software did have a bug in the end but I’m sure over time it’ll get better. As a hip hop fan who now lives in Amsterdam, this was truly a special exhibit to see. I can’t wait to visit the museum once it’s done! Thanks

So, I was walking around the Bronx to find the museum, it´s a bit hard to find, but let me tell you:

IT´S SO WORTH LOOKING FOR!!

As someone who was breaking and spraying and roaming the streets in 84-86, it was such a cool trip down memory lane. Unfortunately, I dropped out of the then sub-culture when my best friend died just when the golden era began. But still, it´s a period in my life I will never forget, and thank you so much to the Universal Hip Hop Museum for keeping it alive.

I loved all the original mixtapes, the original contracts, autographs, clothing, letters, flyers and so much more. I felt like being part of history, all though in a very humble and small way.

Make sure you try their AI when you come around, it nailed it totally for me with Soweto by Pro Kid, which has been on repeat ever since.

One more thing, the guys at the museum was just so down to earth, welcoming, interested in my story and awesome ambassadors for the hip hop culture.

10 out of 10 stars from me!

Regards,
Johnny aka. Train.

PS: EXTRA BIG shouts out to Shawn LG Thomas for doing a radio drop with me, for calling Peter Nice right there to get background info on The Duke From Denmark and so much more!

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at uhhmuseum, I brought two best friends and was able to walk through the various exhibits and learn about Hip Hop from the 1980s-1985. The staff were terrific and provided us a guided walk through the displays. We learned all about the history, took pics, listened to music, and enjoyed interviews and technology pieces that made it so much more interactive than the standard museum experience. Definitely will be back and bringing more friends.

A small but thorough look at one era of Hip Hop history (1986 - 1990), this exhibit was informative and fun. The best part was the staff, some of whom were influential to the culture themselves or the children of legends. They were all passionate, friendly and excited to point out fun details of the exhibits. An exciting preview of what's to come when the full museum opens across the street!
