This museum’s name doesn’t match what it’s really about. There are a few Chagall paintings related to the Bible, but most of the exhibits are filled with Jewish artifacts, Holocaust items, and Nazi-related articles, which don’t seem connected to the theme at all. (Why Nazis? Sorry but this belongs if so into a Jewish History Museum). What I also find unacceptable is the one-sided depiction of the Jewish hostages. While their situation is absolutely horrible, there is no mention or information about the thousands of Palestinians killed by Israel.
Then there was metal artworks that didn’t have anything to do with the Bible. Only one room had a mural of Jesus leaving the tomb and some other Bible-related art, but that was the only section focused on biblical themes. I did like the ancient Jerusalem map exhibit, but even that wasn’t about biblical art… I expected to see more works about Bible characters, stories, and themes. The museum felt disorganized and hard to enjoy. It wasn’t worth the entry fee.

This a gallery of art with some biblical art and relics. Not a biblical art museum. I bought tickets on Groupon and when I arrived they tried up selling 2 other areas of the museum which is quite annoying cause it very deceptive. Most art here had nothing to do with the Bible. Glass blown sculptures, holocaust art pieces, welded metal art. Where is the biblical art at? This is a scam you can’t name a museum “Biblical art museum and have a lot of non biblical art. Don’t come here if you enjoy biblical art and biblical related things. It’s disappointing. A lot of there statues are bronze cast of the original. Art is nice just not biblical like the place name says.

Loved it. The stations of the cross outside is free and excellent. The European art treasury was impressive. We spent about 2 hours inside and probably could have spent much more. Great place to visit!

Make sure you look at the “Black art” in the entryway.. unfortunately it’s not IN the museum.. it’s before you even pay. If you don’t pay attention you will miss it.

It had some wonderful pieces. There was a 40ft wide painting of image the resurrection of Jesus. The holocaust museum was impactful and I found pieces that are some of my favorite pieces I have seen across America. We had to hand write our personal information in a book for all who enter to see but it was for safely. Nothing to match up if was true or not. I do not recommend getting the Groupon that is advertised here on Google Maps. It was the reason that we found them and decided to go. But redeeming it was a nightmare and even though I had an email showing I paid, they wanted me to pay again because the voucher was processing. It took over an hour to have the voucher show the redemption code. Luckily the guy who wanted me to pay again said I could go in and he would pay for me and my daughter again. How insulting! I showed I paid and he treated us like we were deadbeats and made a scene about it in front of a like of 7 people behind us (who had to wait and watch this guy disrespect us).

We were allowed to go in after we had been there over 15 minutes but we would have had to wait over an hour to see the museum if we had to wait on Groupon. We did buy from the gift shop and turned in our redemption code with the sweetest lady who was so kind and caring from the moment she greeted us from the beginning.

I wish the guy had been that kind. We saw him talking to the person before us and he was giving them many bits of information on pieces and artists. He seemed to be very knowledgeable and wish we would have gotten that attitude but I got a different tone from him from the moment he heard the word Groupon. Don’t make deals with Groupon if you are going to snub your nose at those who take advantage of pre purchasing tickets while in route.

So pay full price. That is what they want. They can use it to touch up the paint between installations. And we had to walk around a ladder in a large three wall installation of self portraits. The ladder isn’t even in an area that needed anything hung up.

But there was a room of interactive art, you can leave a note on how the piece made you feel. I don’t know how long it has been or if they always do it. But I put up a black leather piece for one I enjoyed.

So I would recommend this as a place for unique pieces-just pay cash when you show up. At least parking was free. But try to get there early when the doors open like we did.
