CHECK IT OUT! We read the reviews online, but it didn't seem like a special place. We still ended up checking it out on the last day of vacation and I'm so glad we did! We brought our dinner down to the water and alligators immediately came up to us. These were the first gators we had seen the entire stay in FL.
The grounds are clean, plenty of warning signs and info signs about local wildlife. There is a large wooden walking deck to view the lake and the gators. There are also individual picnic tables to eat at that are separated and somewhat private. Bathrooms on site and a playground!
We went around 5pm and saw a total of 8 gators.
If you go, please dont touch or feed the animals. The fact that they immediately came when they saw food bags tells me they've been fed. It's all fun when they are small, but when they grow big they may accidentally bite someone trying to get food and then they will be euthanized. So please, enjoy from a distance!

Attended a meeting of our local Vintage Thunderbird Club International at the park. Beautiful park with nice facilities right on Lake Tarpon. Ample parking and we had Shelter #9 which was right on the water. Covered picnic tables, a grill (which we didn't use) and rest room facilities close by. A good time was had by all.

The best part of living in Pinellas County are the parks and beaches. Anderson Park located on US19 in Tarpon Springs is on Lake Tarpon. This place has everything from a dock for boats, canoes and kayaks to walking trails for you and your pets. There is an abundance of benches, pavilions with tables with grills throughout the area. You'll be guaranteed to see awesome wildlife and possibly gators so be on the lookout. It's absolutely a must see for all ages. There is also a playground and public restrooms so plan on spending a few hours there. It's perfect for photos with lots of shade trees and beautiful views. Free parking and sunsets. ?

An outstanding experience for the gender reveal. The pavilion was well placed, clean, and well maintained, with parking convenient, restrooms close by and CLEAN. Great views of wildlife, trees and flowers, and Lake Tarpon. This is NOT a flat piece of land, so the elevation changes are quite nice. The photos tell the story.

Nice park. We didn’t bring the dogs but plan to bring them tomorrow to check out the dog park.

We really enjoyed the walking path and boardwalk. Saw six different alligators, most were four foot or smaller. Loved the little one with bits of greenery on her head and back!

Not a super long path, less than a mile but we did drive through the rest of the park and you could definitely get in a bit more of a walk. We didn’t have time to check out the boat ramp area, but like all the parks in Pinellas County we expect it to be beautiful. These folks take their parks seriously and they are always meticulously cared for.

Quiet, clean, well-maintained, and serene. Beautiful shaded trails and a boardwalk along Lake Tarpon. Abundant wildlife. Wanna see a Florida gator? There are plenty here. Nice place to take a stroll.

Pet-freindly. Restrooms. A playground for the kids. A boat launch. Seen several folks fishing along the banks.

If you need to unwind from the congested beach chaos, this is a nice excursion.
