We were in the 100's camping sites they were really nice. The sites felt pretty private because the bushes around each site are grown up. The only thing was at night you could hear the traffic going by because we were closer to the highway. If you were in the 200 or 300 sites it might be better. Our site was more open but we drove thru the 200 they were more mid sized trees and bushes. And the 300 sites were mature forest type sites. Big trees and not as open. The bathrooms were nice and the showers were hot. The falls were beautiful.

Great hiking and a phenomenal view from a lookout post overseeing the river. The Falls themselves are Gorgeous and wonderful to hike through during the summer. Great family fun and wonderful pictures during the Fall time by the bridge with the leaves changing colors. There is a Cemented type access to the falls for hiking but the first bit at the entrance where you park is dirt hiking. The hike back will be strenuous for those who are not inclined to outdoor or physical activities. There are benches to rest at which I advise for those less abled such as myself.

This is an amazing park. It's very busy on weekends so you need to reserve a spot months in advanced to get a spot. We were in the 300s campgrounds which is very shaded and wooded. The park is extremely pet friendly, almost everyone we saw had dogs during our visit. The spot we got was directly beside the playground and the handicapped spot is right next to the bathrooms. The only downside I could see were the showers. There are only 2 bathrooms that have showers for the entire campground making a total of 8 showers total at the whole park(4 for men,4 for women) So the wait lines can be very long especially on a weekend but the showers do have turn handles which allows you to have warm water constantly.

Beautiful wildlife and wide diversity for the environments. There's prairies, wet lands, forest and meadows.

Absolutely beautiful waterfall! We loved exploring on both side of the waterfall. Day Pass was very reasonable price. Hike to falls is a steep hill down but the path has several placed to stop a rest for those who may be concerned with that. It is worth the hike!

As you drive up there are two parking lots. The first is gravel. The second just past the beginning of the trail is the paved parking lot. You can park and walk to the beautiful waterfalls in a short hike, but it is steeeeeeep. Going to it, it's all downhill - not bad. On way back going back up - a bit harder. Is it worth it - YES!
We did the 2 mile hike, which passes the waterfalls. I don't feel it added much as the water area is the main point of this trail. You do go up a never-ending staircase. You do get a couple of views of the water from up there, but the trees are in the way. Fall or early spring would be better viewing.

Great little park. Gets super busy on the weekends. Campground was well spaced out and fairly quiet even on a busy weekend. Water turned off super early for the season but that's most state parks. Close to many things in town- Hudson, Stillwater, New Richmond.

The hill back up from the falls is ridiculous. Wish they did some switchback trails to make it more enjoyable. I would recommend parking in the lot further in the lot between the 2 and 300 campgrounds and hike from there to the Willow river trail.

I absolutely love Willow River State Park! It's one of my favorite spots for a day trip near Minnesota, even though it's actually in Wisconsin. :))))
The park offers beautiful scenery, and if you're up for a bit of a workout, you can climb the stairs for an intense but rewarding exercise. The view from the top is stunning and well worth the effort. (I’ve uploaded a photo to give you a glimpse!) This park is a must-visit if you're in the area and looking for a great outdoor experience.

This is a lovely State Park with camping grounds hiking trails a picnic area and restrooms. The nature center is not too big but the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a Beach area and and a playground near the nature center. The water fall is a wonderful place for pictures. There is a selfie station with a platform to put a phone on for timed selfies I like that it was put in a perfect place to get a good shot of yourself with the falls in the background.
