Turkey Run State Park - Marshall, Indiana

This is an incredible park. The rock ledges are gorgeous and the trail takes you right through them. The bridge at the front is cool, the river is beautiful, the trail has some unique aspects like ladders to get up and down the rocks. Beautiful scenery and a really fun hike. Nice signage that educates about the natural history of the park. Well-maintained and worth a visit.

Proof there is more than corn in Indiana. Absolutely breathtaking views, challenging hike, especially compared to the prairie trails I'm used to up in Northern, IN. We must have bad map reading skills, as we managed to do a loop on trail 3 twice ? I almost cried seeing those steps again. Lol 7.5 miles later, we had an amazing experience and a wonderful campfire in front of the Inn. Definitely worth the trip!

We camped here starting on Labor Day until the following Friday. It was very peaceful and quiet. By Thursday more campers started arriving. The trails and scenery at this park is beautiful. We were also visited by the local widlife. This was our first trip here and will be back. Very dog friendly and clean restroom/showers. The water could have been warmer for the showers. Great for kids & biking.

Love this place! The paths were amazing and so gorgeous! Loved the steps cut into the rocks so cool and fun!
Staff were super friendly. We did a scavenger hunt (that one of the park rangers made) participated in different activities throughout the park to get a cool pin and there is still more to do!
Can’t wait to go back ♥︎ sad the gift shop was closed on weekdays but we got a couple good stickers from the inn to add to our collection

I came here on accident. It was during the Covered Bridge Festival, and, being from California, did not know where all the festivities were; I assumed if there was a bridge on the map, the festival was taking place there. This was not so. But it was a beautiful mistake! Instead of ending up at the festival, my mom, my son and myself "accidentally" took a 2-hour hike instead. My mom has one and hip problems, and my son is very- well on the spectrum (autism) and isn't an active kid, putting it politely. But all 3 of us enjoyed the hike, and enjoyed how the map let you know what was easy and what wasn't. It was an accident that has turned into a lovely getaway and escape into nature! I look forward to taking my dog with me to expel some of her endless energy!

One of the best parks in Indiana for hiking. Depending on your comfort level you may want to avoid some of the rugged trails as they can be difficult to navigate.
Took the dog and my daughter and we had a blast. Depending on your pets level to navigate you may need to help or carry them.
Pack a lunch and some water, there isn't much near the park, and you'll need to carry out anything you take it, but well worth the trip.

I went with my family to Turkey run State Park. We had a great time enjoying all the sights and walking the trails.

There were many trails available at all different experience levels. Took my dogs and we were able to enjoy a nice trail.

We absolutely love the picnic area that were near the clean bathrooms. We were able to set up a picnic and grill some burgers.

We spent the whole day there and didn't get to see everything on our wish list. We will definitely be going back to this location in the near future. We had so many activities on our list at the park we did not even get to enjoy the pool.

I highly recommend this state park. See you there!

Hiked their 5-mile challenge which was moderately strenuous but very scenic. You start and finish by walking across a pedestrian suspension bridge which swings as you walk across. The trails near the bridge were fairly busy but as we ventured further into the nature preserve, even on a summer Saturday, we soon had the trails pretty much to ourselves.
